Common Legal Issues for Small Businesses

Tuesday, July 19 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm • Organized By SCORE - Southwest Missouri
2214 S. Brentwood Blvd., Sprngfield, Missouri 65804

About

As a small business owner, it can be easy to get caught up in daily operations and lose sight of legal issues that may arise. Stephanie Cumley of viHRtual HR Partner Services will discuss some of the most common employment laws you and your managers should be aware of so you can protect your business from fines and penalties or litigation.

As an HR Professional with more than 25 years of experience in Human Resources, Stephanie’s focus is to help companies become compliant with employment law regulations and to provide strategic support in all areas of HR so clients can meet their business objectives. Over the past 7 years as an HR Advisor, she has supported multiple companies in various industries including banking, manufacturing, engineering, health care, non-profits, restaurants, pharmaceuticals, construction, and technology services, among others. She graduated from Missouri State University (MSU) with a Bachelor’s degree and continued her education by completing the Human Resources Certificate Program through the Management Development Institute (MDI) at MSU. She is a SHRM Certified Professional and earned the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) Certification with the Human Resource Certification Institute.
