Meet One-on-One with Mentors, See Cedric Cobb and So Much More

We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again: October is a great month for business-building events across Missouri. On Oct. 18, several Resource Partners (quick refresh . . . those are the 500+ nonprofit organizations in our network that offer no- and low-cost services to help you start, grow and accelerate your Missouri business . .  and exhale) from St. Louis are kicking off the 5th annual VISION Small Business Innovation Symposium.

VISION is St. Louis’ premier annual conference celebrating a wholly inclusive, diverse innovation community. It is the region’s largest and ONLY Inclusion Innovation Conference that celebrates, educates and supports women, people of color, and immigrant emerging entrepreneurs and existing business owners building STEM-focused ventures. So when we all talk about removing barriers for all entrepreneurs, VISION is where that talk turns into a real walk.

Attendees will have the opportunity to collaborate with local experts and peers during roundtable discussions targeted to their business needs, receive one-on-one mentoring to gain access to local resources and learn strategies for mindful self-care that will help with personal and professional goals.

The schedule includes classes such as Keep the Money Train Rolling: Sources of Capital and Networking for Introverts—and ending the day with highly anticipated keynote speaker, Cedric Cobb. Cobb, for those who haven’t had the pleasure of meeting him, is a St. Louis native, who successfully pitched investors on ABC’s hit show Shark Tank and received $200,000 for his business, Best Wardrobe Solutions

Tickets range from $25-$40 and are still available. Hosted at the Moto Museum from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., it is sure to be an event to make a real difference in your small business.
